Denver, Colorado’s average first snow is in the third week of October. This 2015/2016 season November 4th was Denver’s first measurable snowfall of 1 to 2 inches.
Elizabeth and Evergreen, Colorado
Elizabeth was clobbered with 18 inches of snow. Evergreen and Centennial had 11 inches with several other ski destinations happy with the natural white powder.
White-out conditions caused sections of I-70 to be closed. Denver International Airport canceled several flights with many being delayed also.
Atwood and Goodland, Kansas
Atwood had 7 inches of snow as the snowstorm moved into the Plain States. Goodland, Kansas had blizzard conditions with low visibility stopping many commuters.
